Olivia Negrón is a figurative artist who works primarily with acrylic and oil paints to create colorful yet intimate renditions of human and animalistic forms. She strives to create a feeling of ephemerality in her works by completing them within in one to two sittings, and places an emphasis on capturing literal fleeting moments in each piece through the addition of chunky strokes and use of reflective, metallic, and charcoal powdered surfaces. She obtained her Bachelors in Fine Art with a focus in Painting and Drawing from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia, and studied many disciplines while there such as illustration, graphic design, digital printmaking and analog/digital photography. She is originally from South Florida, and currently lives and works in Georgia in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.
